I've been looking for some 1% Non Inductive Power Resistors to make a Dummy load, for Audio Power Amplifier testing, for some time. The idea of cobbling together many smaller resistors didn't appeal and the Aluminium Clad resistors aren't really suitable both from a tolerance and self inductance aspect.
These TO220 Resistors with the relatively unusual value of 24R are absolutely ideal. No need for insulating washers either. Three in parallel will give a precision 8R Load. With 6 resistors and a few terminals it's easy to get 4R, 6R, 8R, 12R and 16R as well as a few additional odd values. Thanks Rapid for stocking them.
