Q. Hi, What are the differences between this one and the 35-3544 part that has been discontinued?
A. Hi Matt. Thank you for your question. The original is rated at 3 v and the replacement is now rated at 12 vdc and the newer version is louder at 85db the old version was rated at 75db.

Q. Do you have a driver IC for this device?
A. Hi Peter, thanks for your question. We have no specific driver available for this device, however a simple 555 timer astable circuit would work.

Nice and Loud

If you use a H bridge mosfet circuit to drive these you can get a really loud output from them. Works a treat and you can use the tiny SOT-23 2N7002 and BSS84 as the upper and lower halves of the bridge, also I'm only using 5v. The quick and dirty driver for these is to place one directly across an inverter gate such as a 74HC14, equally good enough if you're not too worried about a reduced output!
