Pros: Attractive, Well Built, Comfortable, Durable, High Quality, Versatile
"These wheels are really beautiful and roll very well. The rim shape looks very aero with nice, curved smooth surfaces and hidden nipples. It is wider than usual (22mm outside, 17mm inside) and a 23 mm tyre looks a bit fatter on them. I can compare it to a Fulcrum 5 (2012 edition) and a Shimano RS30 set. The Rovals accelerate much much better than the Fulcrum or Shimano, I reach higher top speeds faster. They are stiff during climbs and are comfortable as well. The total weight of the set including rim tapes is 1800 gramms and the skewers are 128 g. This means that their weight is equal to the Fulcrums and lighter than the Shimanos. The bearings roll smoothly, the freewheels is quite still."

"This is a beautiful wheelset. The rim looks very aero, there are no sharp edges anywhere but it is a smooth, nicely curved surface. The nipples are hidden, the spokes are butted and round. The rim is slightly wider than usual, it is 22 mm outside and 17 mm inside and the inflated tyres look a little bit wider on them than on a 20 mm rim. The weight of the set (including rim tapes) is 1800 g. Skewers are 128 g. The ride: I can compare it to a Fulcrum 5 (2012 edition) they are also stiff, true, comfortable and they accelerate much much faster than the Fulcrum 5. It is not psychological, I could measure the differences, I reach higher top speeds faster. Accelerating with these is real fun I can get scared of my own speed ! Cornering was confident as well. With the Fulcrum 5 I had a buffeting issue at around 70 km/h on long descents (which does not happen to me to often though...:)). I have not tried such a high speed on these wheels yet, but I hope that the very smooth and aero rim shape will help avoid this problem. The bearings are very smooth of the Roval the freewheel is quite still. It is a lovely wheelset, I do not think that its weight would hinder me, I usually ride quite rough hungarian roads so I would not trust a superlight aluminium wheelset. But its stiff and aero design provide a fast ride and the wider rim makes it quite comfortable as well. "
