Thankfully, Torch My Blazing Dragon is slightly more hygienic than its canine compatriot, but does breathe steam and has one of those cute gaping facial expressions that children can't seem to resist.

Torch my Blazing Dragon is suited to ages 4 and up and requires 4 x AA batteries to function. Suitable for both boys and girls, this FurReal Friends addition is bound to hold the dwindling attention spans of young children for as long as possible. Torch is only available in blue and comes with a water bottle to fill him up to generate steam. The steam is cool to the touch, so don't worry about that. His price tag is certainly worse than his burn, but unless your child already has an abundance of toys and games, they'll get plenty of use out of this friendly dragon. Your next step up after this is something less furry and a little more terrifying - the WowWee Roboraptor, which is able to fully roam around the room, biting and being generally moody. Although a higher price, it is 2 feet long, so a not inconsiderable pet.
