11/08/2015Mr F HayterThis review is for: Prestige Smartplus Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker, 6 Litreplastic hold down cup ( another failure)I had to change our pressure cooker to the stainless steel type due to converting our cooker hob from gas to induction. We have always used Prestige, being British??. Purchased at Argos I got the Smartplus stainless steel.perfect; just the job, quite simple, efficient does what is needed Great!! 2 weeks,"plastic cup holder" breaks.OK it happens take it back, get new lid (cant get the part) just change the lid.It gets a wee bit wearing because tomorrow I shall take it back for the 4th or 5th time for exactly the same problem.I'll just have to change makes. One good thing, on the box it doesn't say "British Made" but Made in India.via idealo

20/07/2010Colin HarrisonThis review is for: Prestige Smartplus Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker, 6 LitreBought this Pressure Cooker as it is one of only a few that is recomended for ceramic hobs. Unpacked it and was surprised at how cheaply made some of the parts are, the trivet is a bent bit of wire that makes the basket unstable, the rivets holding the handles on are already starting to rust inside the cooker, the basket handles do not fit properly, the seperstors in the basket are so flimsy they bent the first time I used them and it is a good job I saved the baskets from my old presure cooker as the new one only comes with one. Sorry to say but the new presure cooker is not a patch on the old one as far as quality of build is concerned, I might as well have bought a cheaper make the quality couldn't have been any worse. I have always thought that Prestige name ment somthing but I was wrong or maybe they just don't know about the problems or do and are trying to do somthing about it. I hope this it true and they are not just making shody goods now.I will not be buying Prestige goods again, they are not worth the money.via idealo
