Product Description
The Power Functions Tuning Set (8293) guarantees a lot of fun while motorising a LEGO Technic model. Incredibly versatile, it can be supplemented and combined with other parts. Thus, for example, creations are created that are used in vehicles, windmills and space ship drives. Thanks to the clear instructions, the assembly is easy.
The Lego parts deserve praise because the motor gives a robust and durable impression. The LED headlights should be bright and produce a large cone of light in the dark. The dimensions of the motor, which make it difficult to install, prove to be somewhat disadvantageous in isolated cases. There is also a point deduction for the six batteries required, some of which are quite difficult to remove. However, they should last for a relatively long time.
Conclusion: As it seems, there is no way around the Lego Power Functions Tuning Set if you want to automate Technic models. Despite its self-confident pricing, the Lego set is recommended for purchase by most users.

29/12/2009s.leesonThis review is for: LEGO Power Functions Motor Set (8293)If you are looking for a lego set for your child who enjoys motorized challenges this lego set " 8294 " would have been ideal ,unfortunetly it lacks the main part that it requires "the motorised engine" . By all accounts it shows that this is included in this technic lego set. Not once does it mention that this part is optional and has to be bought separatly . This optional part costs another £27.00 on top of the asking price . How can a multimillion pound company such as "LEGO" justify this as having motorized digging functions on the box and in the instruction manual when the main part does not even accompany it !!!!!!!!!via idealo
