Product Description
The Creative Inspire T10’s are a set of 2.0 desktop speakers that fall in the mid-budget price range. These speakers are quite basic to look at and this functional look reflects their market positioning; not expensive or high end, but not completely cheap and flimsy. They come in a simple elegant black finish with each speaker measuring 19.4 cm high and a pleasingly slim 9 cm wide. These speakers connect easily via an auxiliary jack, although a side headphone jack is available to connect the speakers to another device, and they feature a single dial volume control.
The Inspire T10’s are powered by a seemingly low 5 watts that power everything including both the tweeters for highs and the BasXPort technology for bass - something that is central to Creation speakers, and, in this case, omits the need for a desperate sub-woofer.
One important difference between Creative’s T10s and the brand’s T20s and T40s is that the Gigaworks brand name has been removed and replaced by ‘Inspire’; an indication of lesser sound quality perhaps? Yes, unfortunately, it is. Sound quality on the T10’s is perfectly good enough for most music but is not excellent. It is good for the price, but for those listening to music that covers a full range they may find the bass booms whilst the trebles lack clarity. However, for those that want to hear voice-based audio, need speakers for gaming or for watching movies via their desktop, the T10s represent a very good set.
These speakers are ideal for a home PC as an upgrade on a computer’s basic speakers and even for use in a room in the house where a stereo is not based. The T10s are certainly not aimed at serious audiophiles, though, or anyone that wants something particularly eye-catching. Instead, they are simply a good set of sturdy, reliable and affordable desktop speakers.
