Oral-B Pro 4000

The Oral-B Pro 4000 electric toothbrush provides a new experience for teeth thanks to advanced technology. The 40,000 pulsations (vibrations) and 8,800 oscillations (back and forth movements) make it very powerful, and therefore likely to remove more plaque.

The appliance features a professional timer which sounds when two minutes are up. Knowing how long to brush for is especially important as many people don't persevere for enough time so teeth aren't thoroughly cleaned. A display also lets you know whether the appliance needs charging although it should last ten days in between each charge. There's a built-in pressure sensor which lets you know when you're brushing too hard so you don't damage your teeth and gums. Another feature is the clever bristles that change colour to show you when it's time to replace the head.

In order for this electric toothbrush model to work exactly how you would like it to, Oral-B includes four different brush modes. These are sensitive, daily clean, whitening and deep clean, the latter of which which removes up to 99.7 % plaque, as well as the ability to attach different heads depending on how thorough you want the clean to be. The sensitive head is gentle on teeth and gums, the FlossAction head is great at getting in between teeth and the Pro White head removes stains from the surface of your gnashers.

Several accessories come in the pack including a charging station where you can also store various brush heads, plus a travel case to keep it hygienic wherever you go. Oral-B also offer a two-year warranty in case something goes wrong with the product.

If you want an even more advanced model with more features, there's the Pro 6000 Smart Series brush, which is the first of its kind with Bluetooth connectivity, where an interactive app picks up data from the toothbrush and lets you create personal cleaning programmes. Here, bristles are also set at the most effective angle (16 degrees) so it's more successful at getting rid of plaque.
