Thunderbirds Interactive Tracy Island

The Thunderbirds Interactive Tracy Island is a large, impressive model of Tracy Island with lots of interactive pieces and sound effects for an immersive Thunderbirds experience. Reviewers note how truly similar the island is to the home of the Tracy family in the TV show, with very realistic colours and moveable parts such as working launch silos. Suitable for ages 3 and up, this set does require detailed construction so, if it is a gift for a child, an adult should perform or assist in the building process. It is also recommended that the stickers in the set are placed in the relevant places before building commences (unlike with Lego sets, for instance).

Behind the rocks is where the action really happens at this secret base. Thunderbird planes 1, 2 and 3 can be launched from various points around the base as part of International Rescue missions and, thanks to the magic of various mechanisms, they emerge up through the rocks to fly on out on missions. Some very fun launches can be performed, though note that there are no vehicles actually included with this set, they have to be purchased separately.

Brain's lab is large enough to hold a figure or two (also not included). It features a robotic arm and lots of controls, including buttons that prompt sound effects and instructions. More than 40 rescue and action sounds accompany the missions, including the iconic 5,4,3,2,1 countdown for launches. A wrist-worn communicator is included with the set (this can also be attached to a belt) and adds a real element of interactive play.

Note also that this Tracy Island set requires 3 AAA batteries and 2 LR44 batteries and these need to be purchased separately.
