Spiraea ‘Magic Carpet' is renowned for its colourful foliage. Holder of an RHS Award of Garden Merit, it holds its colour right through the season. The brilliant foliage is set off by dazzling pink flowers from early summer.

Spiraea are straightforward to grow and look great in most parts of the garden. The plants are grow quickly in patio pots, as hedging or groundcover. This vibrant plant is resistant to bad weather and is drought-tolerant. This wonderful shrub is perfect novice gardeners and for small gardens. Height and Spread: 60cm (24").

Spiraea is best grown in a sunny position, in any fertile, moist, well-drained soil.

Prune Spiraea japonica cultivars in early spring, before the new leaves develop. Reduce all growth back by about a third to a permanent framework.
