While widely recognised as the pyramid shaped Eastern Hemlock tree, the Tsuga canadensis is a large conifer that can also easily be trained into an attractive, evergreen hedge. Its foliage resembles that of yew, but the plant features distinctive cones instead of red berries. When given plenty of space to grow, the Tsuga canadensis is the perfect, long-lasting addition to bigger gardens. Height: 25m (82'). Spread: 10m (33').

Eastern Hemlock can be grown in any well-drained, acid to alkaline soil in full sun or partial shade. Choose a position with shelter from cold, drying winds.

Feed and water regulrly until plants are established. Once established, Tsuga canadensis requires no pruning or maintenance.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on.
