Cirrus 4 Porch.

Firstly agree with the comments the porch is a nightmare to fit the first few times. When I complained to Go outdoors by email, I got the modification kit free & delivered promptly.
We used it in Cornwall last year, and the only problem we had was high winds. We did make some temporary mods ourselves.
Found that heavy duty Velcro on the overlap seam and the beam it is going on done the trick.
Personally I would have sewn the black strap into the overlap seam so you know it is pulling down correctly.
Also found it a bind that to keep it in place the guy ropes from the mod kit, we're over the side doors.
Going to try again this year in Devon shortly, but have some other ideas

Cirrus tent and porch

After seeking advise in April 2017 I Purchased the Cirrus 4 tent with the knowledge that if I found that I did not have enough room I would be able to purchase a matching porch so off we went on a trial weekend the tent was fantastic very easy to put up very sturdy in the strong winds at the time really warm and comfortable but thought it would be a little small to bring our 2 small dogs with us for our annual summer holiday so on our return I purchased the porch for our summer hols. We have just returned from a 2 week holiday very upset at the fact we had to keep attaching the porch to the tent which ruined our holiday and on our first night we had rain made all our clothes soaking wet. I am still trying to figure out how the ground sheet for the porch is supposed to fit as the only way is to slide under tent but the holes in it only accommodate the tents ground sheet and not the guy ropes which than means there is no support for the tent the elastic strip with a cord keeps slipping of the first air pole of the tent and the guy rope that is suppose to go over the top of the tent to the back only puts pressure on the back of the tent pulling the back end down making it sag at the bottom causing a wonderful trough that fills with water when raining. This porch is really not fit for purpose and considering the tent was purchased with the knowledge that I could extend it with a porch if needed I feel very disheartened

Don't waste your money

The tent is great, and the easiest we've used. The porch however, is a waste of time. it was put up in calm weather, we went out, and the porch, and the tent were a complete wreck. No amount of configuring could get them sturdy. I now need to find out how to get the modification kit now. :-(

very satisfactory

After reading the reviews below I had a moan at store to replace my tent but I was assured that the porch worked fine on the Cirrus 4. It was the Cirrus 6 that had the issues. I bought the porch and informed the store that I would be returning it if I was slightly concerned on its workability. I had no problems and I am confident it will work even in high winds. The ground sheet is a mystery at the moment as there were no instructions on how to position it correctly. As yet I have had no need for the ground sheet.

Cirrus 4 Porch - unsatisfactory

Sorry to say that I agree with previous comments. I bought the porch with the improved connecting straps, but the system doesn't work. Haven't tried in strong winds but I think the porch is likely to disconnect.
Good tent but poor porch connection. Airgo (or 3rd party) - please provide a satisfactory solution.

AVOID at all costs

we brought this with the tent last year and it would not stay attached to the tent so we returned it but a few weeks ago we brought one again but with the conversion kit and the problem is still the same the conversion kit does not work and it a poor attempt to avoid doing sorting out the issues properly
Do not let it put you off buying the tent as its a great purchase

Cirrus 4 Porch -

After our excited purchase of our most expensive tent set up yet we couldn't wait to test it out with a short weekend camp.

However this is where it went wrong ,the Cirrus 4 Tent went up a doodle and if honest so did the porch, however connecting the two together was rather difficult and during the night the porch came away from the tent allowing rain to enter the porch area soaking all our equipment, The connection of the porch to the tent is flimsy and under any wind of the slightest breeze comes away. If there is a modification or upgrade to this accessory I would accept this ,but if not we would want to return it.

Cirrus 4 porch

Ok ... This porch is not fit for purpose. We purchased the cirrus 4 bundle last year. Our first holiday in it and we spent more time trying to get the porch to stay on the tent as it just slips off, nothing but a strap which goes over 1st airbeam and it keeps slipping off. Went back to go outdoors for a refund, they assured us that a new fixing kit would be released in June to solve this well known problem. Was told to wait for this to come out, we agreed to this as we love the tent and hoped the fixing strap would cure the problem. Unfortuantly it's of no use. The fixing strap although a good idea if it worked but it doesn't. It is a clip which fixes on the porch with a guy rope attached, you then pull it over and secure it by pegging down. Major problem is It blocks of the side doors of the tent and also as soon as the guy rope has any tension the clip slips off the fabric, hence the porch then comes off then tent !!! Another problem with the porch is the bucket ground sheet, seriously even the guys at go outdoors could not tell me how it fits in, I sorta managed but the loops it attaches onto then block off the front door. Hence no exits on tent at all as 2 side doors blocked by guy ropes from new fixing kit and if you want to exit porch door you have to unhook the bucket ground sheet?? Oh one more thing we've noticed no ventilation in porch so gets very bad condensation. If anyone from go outdoors can tell me different I'd be happy to listen but not holding out much hope. Guess what I'm saying is I don't recommend this porch, although the tent is fab. Wish we'd got a refund now and not listened to the promises of a fixing kit solving the problem because it didn't.
