The midweight Berghaus Ghlas Softshell Jacket is a great all round performer - giving you warmth, comfort and protection.It has been designed for those that enjoy being active outdoors, featuring stretch fabric under the arms and in the side panels to give you full unrestrictive movement.
You have two zipped hand-warmer pockets and a zipped chest pocket which enable you to securely carry all your small essentials, while the stretch bound collar and adjustable cuff tabs and drawcord hem let you seal yourself in when necessary.

Measuring tips:
Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
CHEST: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, making sure to keep the tape under the arms and around your shoulder blades.
WAIST: Measure around the smallest part of your waist (natural waistline).
HIPS: Stand with your heels together and measure around the fullest part.
INSIDE LEG: Measure from the top of your inner leg, along the inside seam to the bottom of your leg.

Excellent Jacket
Had this jacket for over 6 months now and continues to perform as it should. Light weight and comfortable to wear and also quite warm with only a t shirt on underneath, would recommend.
Not what it seems
Despite the "shell" in "Softshell", I found this item let a cold wind through like a knife. It's probably much better suited to warmer conditions.
Although it was suggested the item might be faulty, I noticed a couple of similar comments on the Berghaus web site, where there doesn't seem to any claim to wind resistance anyway.
I took it back for a refund after talking to the helpful store manager.

Great all round soft shell
Having been out in a few heavy showers and some stiff breezes it was waterproof and windproof enough with a couple of thin layers underneath. Great fit on a 5'9" frame with a medium and was nice and warm too. An outer layer would be needed in harsher conditions but that is not what this jacket is supposed to be.

Great lightweight and fitted mid layer jacket bought for going out walks etc .. not been out in the rain yet

Berghaus wins
Needed a shower-resistant lightwight jacket for fair-weather support when walking in the Lakes last week; this jacket didn't disappoint. Kept out the chilly breeze and dried out super-fast after brief light showers.

A good layering top, tried it whilst rock climbing doesn't restrict movement. Good at repelling water, wasn't as wind repellent as expected.

Good soft shell this.
Repels water really well. Nice high collar protects your neck in a cold wind.
Fits great and is very comfortable.
Only downside is its perhaps a little less wind resistant than I would have liked.
That can be sorted with a a bit of thought of what your wearing underneath.

Great soft shell and is a great fit and runs true to size. It can be worn on its own or with a fleece underneath for extra warmth. Overall a stylish and function soft shell.
