Very disappointing

For what this cost (£80 for two people). I was expecting fantastic. The hotel was a small boutique hotel just round the corner from Harrods. But the sandwich fillings were so thinly spread you couldn’t even make out the flavours and they were warm and starting to go dry. The cakes and pastries were nice but two of the scones we were served were stale. We sent them back and we were then given fresh but it really wasn’t good enough. Disappointing and not good value for money.

My husband and I received this from my sister for Christmas. We had a wonderful afternoon. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive. Will definitely go back.

The afternoon tea was given in a small cramped room which felt like the voucher room. Staff were very nice & the afternoon tea was nice. It did not feel like a luxury afternoon tea at all which is what was paid for & the whole point of this venture
