I bought this jacket last week and had high hopes. I read the reviews on here and was convinced that this was the jacket for me. I did note the one review suggesting a problem with leaking pockets, but just assumed that this was a one off defect and bought anyway.

I have just got back froma 2 day hike in the Lake District, and the jacket performed brilliantly in various weather conditions with the exception of one thing.... the pockets leaked. It was the strangest thing, the jacket kept me perfectly dry, fighting off harsh wind and rain, but the pockets seemed to just fill up with water.

Hopefully this is a manufacturing defect and a replacement will solve the issue, but this is certainly not what I expect for a jacket of this type.

I will be returning the product later today, and hopefully will have a replacement before I hit the hills again next weekend.

Would have given 5 stars, but leaking is a pretty major (and potentially dangerous) issue so no more than a 2 I am afraid.

I love this jacket fits great looks great the only fault I have with it is the pockets let water in the seems do not keep the water out I have just tested the jacket on a 10K hill walk it rained all the way but not to heavy and when I got home the insides of the pockets were soaking and so was my base layer because of it.Got this jacket to do a 90K yomp in Scotland for charity but starting to think I should use another jacket.

Great fit, super Waterproof and Ultra Breathable. One of my best jackets ever.

What a superb product. I've been looking for a top like this for a very long time. I only ever wear Rab when it comes to jackets, this item however now takes pride of place. Great fit, exceptional waterproofing, superb ventilation. Buy this top of you want the best. I couldn't be happier. I bought this in a medium over the large. The hood design is fantastic, the material is tough wearing, windproof and wicks incredibly well. Even in a medium size I can wear a thick fleece underneath and it doesn't feel bulky or tight on me in the slightest. 5* I can't fault it.

I had opportunity to test the jacket in last nights downpours and windy weather on part of the Sandstone Trail.

Under the Mammut Lunan Pro jacket was only a baselayer and although the weather was warm, I had no issues with wet wind chill. Unfortunately I didn't have waterproof trousers with me which did became unpleasant.

Part of the Sandstone Trail includes a small ascent which can become tough and I wasn't prepared to use the pit zips due to the rain and I could feel the heat pouring out through the top of the jacket - I was worried about the jacket's breathability. Back at the car I found my baselayer slightly damp but pretty much dry all over so I was impressed with it's performance.

I love this jacket very hard wearing and doesn't wet out like my last Gore-tex jacket which was polyester and not nylon.
Under arm ventilation is easy to use and helps regulate my body temperature when walking hard.
Would buy again very happy with this jacket.
