A 3A 5V fixed voltage step-down (Buck) switching voltage regulator in a through-hole TO-220 case. The device is suitable for a wide range of applications such as LCD monitors, ADD-ON cards, pre-regulators and positive to negative converters (Buck-Boost). The regulator has excellent line and load regulation and requires a minimum number of components, substantially reducing the component count and footprint.
