This outstanding experience will see you taking off from the Duxford Imperial War Museum in a 1930s Dragon Rapide biplane. Take in the magnificent sights over Cambridge, Ely and Newmarket. You'll depart from the fascinating museum and soar up to 1,500 feet in the historic wartime twin-propeller aircraft. Cruising for 45 minutes around the beautiful city of Cambridge, you'll see the golden-hued colleges and sparkling river in all their glory, then on to the Romanesque cathedral at Ely before enjoying a bird's-eye view of Newmarket Racecourse and heading back to Duxford to explore the museum at your leisure.

A great day - I flew with my son and we both loved it. The views over Kings College Cambridge were incredible.

My brother paints models of vintage planes but has never actually been in one so his wife and I teamed up and bought him your Dragon Rapide Flight over Cambridge for his 40th. We didn't tell him where we were going and when we arrived at the Imperial War Museum and took him over to the Dragon Rapide and told him he was flying in it he was so excited! The actual flight lasted 40 minutes which was long enough I reckon and his entrance to the war museum was free.

We won't be forgetting our flight in a long while. The scenery itself was beautiful all the Cambridgeshire countryside we were flying over including the university and Ely's magnificent cathedral. By far the most memorable part was getting to fly up in a wartime aircraft. The plane was incredible - a real piece of history.
